“A power meter allows you to quantitatively track your fitness changes, more easily define your weaknesses, and then refocus your training based on those weaknesses. It can be the impetus for change in your training program. Using a power meter can take your training to a new level.”Hunter Allen & Andrew Coggan, PhD, authors of
Training and Racing with a Power Meter
Signature Cycles is proud to present two events which will highlight the ongoing partnership between SRM Power Meters and Signature Cycles. For the past two years, Signature Cycles has been the top “brick and mortar” dealer of SRM Training Systems in North America. Our depth and breadth of experience with all powermeters, and with SRM specifically, allows us to offer exceptional service to our clients when it comes to on-bike training data.
Mike Hall and Shaun Simon, both of SRM North America, will make the trip from SRM headquarters in Colorado to give us a presentation about Ulrich Schoberer, inventor of the SRM (he’s the “S” in SRM) and the evolution of the SRM Power Meter. They will briefly discuss how an SRM actually functions, mechanically speaking, and what sets SRM apart from other power measuring devices on the market today. Examples of past SRM power measuring cranks will be on display, including the first version, which looks quite archaic compared to the current offerings! SRM’s most recent product introduction is the Campagnolo Training System, the first powermeter on the market to use Campagnolo-sourced crank arms and chainrings. An example of this system will be on display.
