High Visibility and Exceptional Performance

As much as we’d like to deny it, our shifting seasons mean not only colder temperatures, but shorter days, as well. Early morning and evening rides are often in dusk or darkness. If you’re instincts for self-preservation are in tact, lights and brightly-colored apparel are smart choices. As pioneers in technical apparel, Assos and Rapha each offer a wide variety of High Visibility (“HiViz”, in industry-speak) articles for cycling, and Signature Cycles is excited to offer the best from both this Fall and Winter season.

Read on to learn about a few of our favorite HiVis pieces!

October 21st

Signature Cycles Greenwich

Our favorite ride of the year is the ever-popular Signature Cycles Fall Foliage Ride. This year the 3rd Annual Fall Foliage Ride is scheduled for Sunday, October 21.

The scenic 40-mile ride through Fairfield and Westchester counties will begin at Signature Cycles new Greenwich location at 14 Railroad Ave. The incredibly scenic ride will wind its way up to Armonk, NY with a rest stop at Adopt A Dog. After a brief refueling, riders will ride back to Greenwich on some of the best roads the area has to offer.

Ride leaders will accompany various groups accommodating paces starting at 13mph and up. Road bikes are required for all group riders. Cue sheets will be available for any riders wishing the tackle the route on their own.

Registration begins at 7:15am at Signature Cycles, 14 Railroad Ave. A $25 donation will go directly to The Greenwich Boys and Girls Club and to Adopt A Dog to support their untiring efforts to better the lives of families, children and pets in our area.

Handmade in Canada, the Photon’s fit and finish are top-shelf.

As elementary particles, photons spend their careers careening through time and space at absurd speeds, blazing true paths, and literally illuminating those who experience them. It would be fun to juxtapose the 2012 Guru Photon here and say that the bike is a different story, but alas, it is not. Greenwich Parlee Demo

July 12th
Signature Cycles Greenwich

If you haven’t had the opportunity to throw a leg over a Parlee, you may not understand why people rave about the ride quality. Luckily, Steve from Parlee will be bringing a fleet of demo Parlees to our Greenwich studio on July 12th. This is a unique opportunity to log actual saddle time on a Parlee while enjoying the roads and terrain you’re familiar with.

To reserve a bike and time slot, send an email to lori@signaturecycles.com with your bike size and desired time. There will be two, one hour long rides starting at 4:30 and then 6:00 respectively. Just bring your pedals, shoes and helmet and we will take care of the rest. Steve will also be on hand after the rides to field any questions you may have about Parlee.
