Susi from Velojoy joined us on our Spring Training Trip to Majorca this past week. Judging from the post she wrote up after the trip, she was extremely happy with her experience on the island. It’s an insightful take on the experience from an NYC resident. Click through to Velojoy to read the article . . .

Searching for a new ride?
The reality is that we live in a fast paced city. We often get too caught up in the daily rush to slow down and just enjoy the ride. We choose the “ordinary” local rides, rarely exploring some of the great rides the NYC area can truly offer. In 2007, Rapha created the Continental program with one goal in mind: travel this incredible country and find roads seldom ridden, explore some of the little known wonders and some hidden gems in our own backyards.

For those of you who missed our Greenwich bicycle maintenance clinic, we will be holding a New York City edition on Wednesday, November 9th from 6:30 – 8PM. The clinic will focus on familiarizing you with the regular maintenance points of your bicycle, what to look for, and issues that you can fix at home or on the road. Topics will include:
- Monitoring tire wear, and how to change tires/tubes.
- Proper chain lubrication, and the life expectancy of a chain.
- Minor Derailleur adjustment, cable stretch and maintenance.
- Maintaining your contact points: bar tape, pedal cleats, and saddle.
- Changing brake pads for carbon or aluminum wheels.
- How to use a torque wrench and why they are important.
… and of course, bring your questions. Please RSVP with Jeff@SignatureCycles.com.

How to End Codependency with Your Local Bike Shop
If you find yourself constantly calling or stopping by the bike shop for every little mechanical issue, then this clinic is for you! Although your smiling face is always welcome, we’d rather see you riding your bike than rolling it through our doors for minor adjustments.
This clinic will address the most common reasons we see people for “emergency” fixes. In this 1 ½ hour session you will learn:
• Minor derailleur adjustments that will quiet that clicking and skipping
• Headset adjustments
• Proper quick release installation – often overlooked but extremely important
• How to change out your brake pads for carbon wheel sets
• The importance of torque specs and how to use a torque wrench
Sign up early as class space is limited!!!
Email lori@signaturecycles.com to reserve your spot or with any questions.
