The reality is that we live in a fast paced city. We often get too caught up in the daily rush to slow down and just enjoy the ride. We choose the “ordinary” local rides, rarely exploring some of the great rides the NYC area can truly offer. In 2007, Rapha created the Continental program with one goal in mind: travel this incredible country and find roads seldom ridden, explore some of the little known wonders and some hidden gems in our own backyards.

NYC Bicycle Maintenance Clinic, Nov. 9th 6:30-8:00PM
For those of you who missed our Greenwich bicycle maintenance clinic, we will be holding a New York City edition on Wednesday, November 9th from 6:30 – 8PM. The clinic will focus on familiarizing you with the regular maintenance points of your bicycle, what to look for, and issues that you can fix at home or on the road. Topics will include:
- Monitoring tire wear, and how to change tires/tubes.
- Proper chain lubrication, and the life expectancy of a chain.
- Minor Derailleur adjustment, cable stretch and maintenance.
- Maintaining your contact points: bar tape, pedal cleats, and saddle.
- Changing brake pads for carbon or aluminum wheels.
- How to use a torque wrench and why they are important.

Neil Bezdek Wins Red Hook Criterium Milano
Last Saturday, the Red Hook Criterium, originally based in Red Hook Brooklyn, traveled to Milan for the second year. Signature Cycles was fortunate enough to partner with Velojoy and Trimble Racing in sponsoring Neil Bezdek, who took home the win in Italy. Congratulations Neil!
