Ride with T.A. in October

Our friends at Transportation Alternatives are putting on their Fall Foliage Tour in upstate New York this October. There’s amazing riding around Saratoga, and at that time of year with the leaves changing? You should go!

Every day, Transportation Alternatives makes bicycling better in New York City — but even the most dedicated bike advocates need a vacation now and then.  That’s why T.A. is organizing an idyllic bicycle tour of the Hudson River Valley and lower Adirondacks on the weekend of October 20th.  T.A.’s Fall Foliage Tour has something for every traveler: spectacular cycling on backcountry roads along the Hudson and Battenkill rivers, fine dining and accommodations at a “crown jewel” Victorian hotel in the heart of Saratoga Springs.  Trip highlights include:

  • Your choice of long and short routes through the best roads & trails in the region, with soaring views of the Catskills and Adirondacks at the peak of the fall foliage season
  • A private tour of the Serotta Custom Bicycles studio and factory
  • Optional guided tours of historic sites or a day trip to Saratoga’s famous healing springs
  • All just a short and scenic Amtrak ride from New York City!

All proceeds from the Fall Foliage Tour directly benefit Transportation Alternatives’ work for a more bike-friendly New York City, and a portion of the reservation fee is tax deductible.

Joining the Fall Foliage Tour is a great way to learn more about T.A.’s advocacy work and support a great cause.  In just a few short years, T.A. advocacy has won over 250 miles of new bike lanes, innovative pedestrian spaces in Times Square and beyond, and city policies that are making it safer and easier for millions of New Yorkers to bike, walk and play.
