Each year around this time, cyclists, their friends, and their families ask us for gift ideas. This holiday season we decided to put together a shopping cheat sheet. Maybe somebody close to you needs a little help when shopping for the cyclist in their life. We find that this list is very effective when “accidentally” left on the kitchen table with desired items circled or highlighted.

Under $100 – CycleOps Powercal
The advantages of training with power are tremendous, but the price for a crank- or hub-based power meter can be steep. That’s where the CycleOps Powercal strap comes into play. It’s a heart rate strap that uses mathematical algorithms based on years of power file analysis to estimate power output and then send that number to your Ant+ compatible cycling computer. It’s not as accurate as a CycleOps Powertap hub or SRM crank but it is a great way to start riding with power. Price: $99
Under $50 – Rapha Winter Collar
